Timber Cove Resort perched along the rugged coast as seen from above

Timber Cove

A scattering of homes and a welcoming lodge mark the location of Timber Cove (pop. 164) in a remote area along Highway 1, where the narrow roadway dramatically winds its way up the Sonoma Coast. About 15 miles north of Jenner, Timber Cove is where the rugged coastline dips slightly inland toward the canyon surrounding Timber Cove Creek.

In this secluded and romantic getaway spot, the Timber Cove Resort offers 46 rooms, most with fireplaces, each with a breathtaking view of the ocean, cove, or surrounding forest. On the grounds, you'll find the 93-foot-high Peace Obelisk sculpture by the late Benjamino Bufano, a renowned San Francisco sculptor.

Treatments by local massage therapists are available in the lodge's spa area or in the privacy of your own room. The lodge also features the Coast Kitchen restaurant, with local farm-to-table coastal cuisine. The wine list focuses primarily on acclaimed Sonoma County wines.

Also located in this calm ocean cove, the Timber Cove Boat Landing & Campground provides easy access for launch-it-yourself boating, fishing, and diving, as well as 35 campsites for either RVs or tents.
