Media Assistance Form

Sonoma County Tourism (SCT) is happy to provide assistance to journalists writing articles about Sonoma County as a leisure travel and meetings destination. Depending on the nature of the assignment, SCT can assist with story ideas, information and recommendations, as well as coordinating suggested itineraries. Once we receive the completed Media Assistance Form, we review and get back to you. Please note that while SCT is unable to arrange transportation or guarantee complimentary accommodations, meals or activities, we are happy to connect you with our hospitality partners to plan your ideal visit.

Here are our guidelines for incoming journalists:

Contact us at least six weeks in advance of visit for the best assistance.
We strongly recommend weekday visits (Monday through Thursday). We rely on the kindness of our community partners for media rates or hosted experiences.
Sonoma County is a large, rural destination. Please be comfortable driving yourself around or be willing to stay in urban areas and enjoy the attractions there. If you don't feel comfortable driving yourself, we can recommend local companies that provide these services (either custom or regular tours.) This might incur a cost on your behalf.
Our itineraries are designed to meet your needs. We will do our best to match your interests with our attractions. Please be respectful of appointments and show up on time.
