Chocolate. Need we say more? Arguably, it’s the ultimate comfort food, and now more than ever. So with Easter just around the corner, Sonoma County chocolatiers are here to help us celebrate with family and friends, albeit virtually for the time being.

Tip: Pair your chocolate treat with your favorite Sonoma County wine for the ultimate comfort meal.

Below, we’ve listed some of the special offerings from Sonoma County chocolate shops and artisans, many of whom specialize in sourcing single origin, fair trade, organic, and sustainably farmed ingredients for their chocolates and confections.

The Chocolate Cow

The Chocolate Cow, located in the Sonoma Plaza, is taking pick-up order requests and offering delivery for Sonoma Valley residents. The Chocolate Cow, a long-running family business, is offering 40% off its handcrafted Easter Chocolates. Sonoma Valley residents can enjoy curbside pick-up, just call 707-935-3564. Curbside pick-up dates will be on April 10 & 11 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Check out their social handles on Facebook and Instagram for all the details.

Eye Candy Chocolatier

Located in Sebastopol, Eye Candy Chocolatier specializes in handcrafted chocolate truffles made with premium chocolate couverture, locally sourced organic cream and butter, and natural flavorings that include fresh fruit purees, liqueurs, tea and coffee infusions, and exotic spices. For this Easter, Eye Candy Chocolatier has crafted an assortment of dark and milk chocolate bunnies you can have shipped to your home. Rainy Day Chocolate

Rainy Day Chocolate, based in Santa Rosa, is offering delectable single origin chocolate treats and classic chocolate bunnies for Easter. Shop their online store for a delicious blend of Belgian chocolates and  confections, including toffee, dipped marshmallows, and other treats.

Volo Chocolate

Volo Chocolate, based in Windsor, is the passion project of two executive chefs who fell in love with the flavors and soul of Mexican chocolate. Volo’s special edition 2020 Masked ‘Bean to Bunny’, which is a 62% solid dark milk chocolate bunny, is here just in time for Easter. Brown butter adds toasty notes, caramelized milk give it a rich lingering caramel flavor, and the icing on the cake—or chocolate in this case—is the hand-painted white chocolate mask.
